2009 - 2010 Florida TSA State Officers
|
|
State President Shivi Kumar Lake Region High School
This is my second term as a state officer and I am very proud to be serving as the Florida TSA State President. I am in my fourth as a TSA member, and also a Senior in high school. I look forward to the exciting opportunities this year will bring and the chance to accomplish great things alongside my motivated and energetic State Officer Team. After graduation from high school, I plan to attend a college right here in Florida and pursue a career in the medical field. I will also continue supporting Florida TSA by joining the Alumni organization. Aside from TSA I have many interests. I enjoy playing golf, watching the latest movies, traveling and trying different foods, and even keeping up with politics has become quite interesting. But all this comes after I can finish my many school related obligations. Anyways, I can assure you of a truly unique TSA experience at our upcoming conferences and urge you to get the most out of your TSA membership by attending. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact us through our new Facebook group.

State Secretary
Amanda Allen
Eau Gallie High School
Hello Florida TSA, I am Amanda Allen a junior, and extremely thrilled to be your State Secretary! I have proudly been involved in TSA for five years. Throughout my five years of TSA I have held the school offices of Sergeant at Arms, Secretary, and President. Competing through TSA has given me the great opportunity to gain leadership skills, study in various areas such as agriculture and biotechnology, and have met many new people. Most importantly I have found an importance in the spirit award and getting my teams pumped for competition. I am greatly involved in TSA and very committed. Other than TSA, I like to bake and do after school activities like student government. I love working with people and am prepared to handle any task at hand.

State Treasurer
Eric Zunica
Lakewood Ranch High School
During my four years in TSA, I have experienced many fun and enjoyable opportunities that have made a major impact on my life. I was born and spent my early years in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, a place in which I would live for eleven years. Although it is usually hard to say, I am a huge Chicago Cubs fan. In 2005, my family and I packed up our things, and headed south for the sunshine state. In seventh grade, I joined TSA at Nolan Middle School in Manatee County. During my first year of TSA, I attended both the state conference and national conference in Dallas, and have attended all state and national conferences ever since. As your Florida TSA State Treasurer, I will strive to improve this organization in each and every way that I possibly can.

State Reporter
Alessandra Miranda
Bartow IB School
Hola! My name is Alessandra Miranda and I am excited to serve as a State Officer this year. I was born in Miami and lived there for nine years. Later, my family moved to our home country Nicaragua for two years. We now reside in Polk County and I'm currently a Senior at Bartow IB High School. I have been an active member of TSA since I was in seventh grade. Other than that, I love math, science, and technology, and plan to major in them at college. Overall, I'm a people person and am usually trusted and relied on by others; as you'll easily see if you ever need something.
